Bangkok, March 2026 — The inaugural Russian–Thai Gastronomic Festival arrives in Bangkok from 30 March to 3 April 2026, marking its first international edition following a successful debut in Moscow. Positioned as a platform for cross-cultural exchange, the festival underscores Bangkok’s growing role as a dynamic hub for global culinary dialogue.

Presented through a collaboration between the Russian–Thai Business Council (RTBC), the Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Thailand, and the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation, the initiative reflects a shared ambition to deepen bilateral relations through gastronomy—where food becomes both medium and message.

At the centre of the programme is a series of chef-led collaborations, bringing together leading culinary voices from both countries. Renowned Russian chefs from Pinskiy & Co. travelled to Bangkok to work alongside prominent Thai counterparts, presenting a collection of exclusive menus that explore the intersection of technique, heritage and contemporary interpretation. The result is a nuanced dialogue between Russian and Thai cuisines, expressed through carefully balanced flavours and refined execution.

Beyond the dining table, the festival serves as a point of convergence for industry professionals and enthusiasts alike, fostering meaningful connections within the global F&B landscape. Designed with intention, the programme welcomes a curated audience of approximately 200 participants—including restaurateurs, chefs, culinary students and media—prioritising depth of engagement over scale.

Select partners further elevate the experience, with premium ingredients such as Thai Sturgeon caviar and Alaskan king crab from ZAAP Alaska woven into the menus, highlighting the versatility of Russian produce within a Thai culinary context.
The opening ceremony took place at The Food School Bangkok, where a masterclass
by visiting Russian chefs offered an intimate insight into their culinary philosophies and techniques.

Subsequent evenings unfold across a selection of Bangkok’s leading dining destinations—including Wang Hinghoi, Baannok BKK City Edition and Brass House—where limited-seat dinners present collaborative tasting menus in an atmospheric setting, accompanied by live music.

More than a celebration of cuisine, the Russian–Thai Gastronomic Festival positions itself as an evolving cultural platform—one that champions exchange, creativity and long-term collaboration. Its Bangkok debut signals the beginning of what is set to become a considered addition to the international gastronomic calendar.
