Savor Beauty Thailand is the first Savor Beauty branch outside New York. The location of this branch is in Bangkok, Sukhumvit 49/11 Alley, next to Tops Fine Food Sukhumvit 49 and Mr French. Pink banners are displayed in front of the shop to draw attention to women and men who wish to purchase skincare products and receive facial treatments.
The brand was founded by a Korean-American former classical pianist, Angela Jia Kim, inspired by her mother and heritage. She understands that women these days are busy with their roles and need a better skincare ritual system that is simple enough to save their precious time. The number system is what Savor Beauty offers its customers. As indicated by the numbers 0 - 5 on the labels of Savor Beauty products, customers can identify which product to use first and later.
Chalita Salirathavibhaga, a young Thai businesswoman who used to be a customer in New York, decided to bring Savor Beauty to Thailand because of her belief that Savor Beauty could be the answer to many people's prayers.
Chomp Magazine was curious about this facial spa, so we visited it. When we arrived, the staff greeted us with a warm, welcoming smile and offered to sit and have some water before showing us around and taking us back to the reception room and showing us their 5 facial treatment programmes on an iPad. We chose The Savor Beauty Luxe Facial, and then they gave us a form to fill out.
Our assigned Therapist, Ann, greeted us and led us to our treatment room, leaving us in private to change our clothes and get ready for the treatment. She entered the room when we were done and helped us lie on the spa bed.
The treatment started with cleansing. Ann used Coconut Jasmine Pre-Cleanse appropriate for all skin types to deep cleanses pores. The product smells of lightly toasted coconut and light jasmine, not pungent and fake. She then used Jasmine Milk Cleanser to deeply purify without stripping the skin. Ann told us, "This product balances skin, increases cellular turnover to lighten dark spots, promotes wound healing and reduces skin irritations and breakouts. Also, it is rich in vitamin C."
Savor Beauty's ritual requires all therapists to examine and evaluate clients' faces before moving forward.
Ann sprayed Tea Tree Leaf Toner Mist, suitable for people with oily or acne-prone skin. Her next step was to apply Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Raspberry Serum first. Then, she used Diamond Microdermabrasion to gently remove the dead cells and debris on the outer layer of your skin, leaving smoother, cleaner, brighter skin.
LED Light and Ultrasound Facial Treatment was the next step to help smooth fine lines, fade hyperpigmentation, and combat acne. This process was followed by Microcurrent, which reverses the visible signs of ageing, such as drooping skin and dullness.
The following procedures were face peeling and masking. Ann applied the Cherry Collagen Peel all over the face before applying the Yuzu Lemonade Peel on the T-zone for those with combination skin.
Cherry Collagen Peel, a collagen-rich cooling concoction of cherry, pineapple and papaya enzymes to gently eat away dead skin cells, was for helping exfoliate and plump skin, while the high-in-vitamin C Yuzu Lemonade Peel was for dealing with clogged pores and line lines and wrinkles and for brightening and exfoliating.
Manuka Honey, Chamomile, Lavender and Chocolate Masks were mixed by Ann to bespoke a suitable concoction for people who are nocturnal, drink constantly, have oily and acne-prone skin with partially dry skin and deal with pollution every day.
When the mixture of multiple masks was peeled off, the face was covered with a warm towel. At Savor Beauty, clients' faces are covered with a warm towel 3 times after cleansing, serum applying and masking.
Ann ended the treatment by putting some Truffle Face Cream on, giving a facial, neck and shoulder massage and putting some Caviar Eye Cream on. She explained, "The Truffle Cream is a vitamin B-rich formula that melts into the skin, restoring luminosity and radiance while fighting fine lines. The Caviar Eye Cream reduces the appearance of fine lines, dark circles, and puffy eyes."
The feeling on the face was light, unlike some places where the face felt oily, icky or dry after the treatment.
Earlier, we mentioned that the Coconut Jasmine Pre-Cleanse had real lightly toasted coconut and jasmine scents, not fake ones. Well, other products don't have a pungent fake or chemical smell. That's because Savor Beauty products are all-natural. The brand is certified organic and animal cruelty-free.
At Savor Beauty, clients can visit a powder room after the treatment to groom themselves before leaving for other errands. the powder room is equipped with clean hair brushes, sustainable vanity kits.
