Wolfgang's Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener has recently launched its first branch in Thailand at One Bangkok, proudly marking the establishment's 40th location worldwide. The grand soft opening was a notable event hosted by Peter Zwiener, President and Co-Founder, alongside Prasert Laorphanpon and Sohei Urakami, Wolfgang's Steakhouse Thailand Co-partners. Chef Kenny Nattawat Ariyawisutsri, the Head Chef, expertly introduced a diverse array of signature dishes that reflect the true essence of New York cuisine.


Peter Zwiener shared the inspiring story behind the restaurant's name: "Wolfgang's Steakhouse honours my father, Wolfgang, who dedicated 40 years to working in a New York City steakhouse. When he retired 20 years ago, we seized the opportunity to combine my business acumen with his culinary expertise to create what we envisioned as the best steakhouse in the world. This vision materialised in our inaugural Wolfgang's Steakhouse in New York in 2004."

The restaurant prides itself on excellence by focusing on top-notch ingredients, especially USDA Prime beef. "We take full responsibility for sourcing our beef, collaborating directly with the finest ranches and abattoirs across the U.S., and importing Maine lobsters," Zwiener explained. "Moreover, we emphasise local sourcing for our seafood and fish." He continued, "Our steaks are shipped directly from the U.S. in a chilled state—never frozen—and are dry-aged for 28 days under carefully controlled conditions. This ageing process enhances the meat's tenderness and develops a rich, earthy flavour."


In addition to this dedication to beef, Wolfgang's Steakhouse Bangkok is equally invested in using locally sourced ingredients, including vibrant fresh fish and crisp vegetables from Thailand, which bring an exciting variety and global flair to the thoughtfully curated menu.


Beyond its exceptional cuisine, the steakhouse places considerable value on creating a remarkable dining experience through its ambience and service. The interior design draws inspiration from classic New York steakhouses in 1912, featuring historical photographs that tell timeless stories of value and tradition. The Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail showcases plump, succulent shrimp that are expertly chilled and served alongside Wolfgang's renowned cocktail sauce, known for its perfect blend of tanginess and spice. This dish offers a delightful combination of flavours and textures, making it an indulgent appetiser.

Wolfgang's Crab Cake boasts a unique recipe highlighting premium crab meat's sweet, tender essence. The Beverly Hills Chopped Salad is a quintessential California-style dish that celebrates the vibrant flavours of fresh, finely chopped vegetables. Sizzling Bacon showcases thick-cut strips of bacon, expertly grilled, to achieve a perfect balance of smoky flavour and crispy texture. Each bite delivers an irresistible crunch, enhancing its savoury richness and making it a delightful addition to any meal.


Lobster Bisque is a luxurious, velvety soup crafted from succulent, fresh Maine lobster. This delightful dish is simmered to perfection, allowing the flavours of the lobster to meld beautifully with a medley of exquisite spices and aromatics. The main course showcases a magnificent Porterhouse Steak, crafted from USDA Prime beef, which is celebrated for its superior quality and rich flavour. This succulent cut of meat is expertly grilled to perfection, ensuring a juicy and tender bite with every forkful. Accompanying the steak are vibrant sides of German potatoes, golden and crispy on the outside while fluffy on the inside, and a velvety, creamy spinach that adds a delightful touch of richness. Together, these elements create a harmonious dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable.


The restaurant features a captivating aspect with its "Sizzling" announcement, made in harmony by the staff as they bring out the steaks on sizzling plates. This unique tradition not only adds to the lively ambience but also serves as a friendly reminder for diners to enjoy their meals with care, particularly regarding the hot plates.

For dessert, guests are treated to a decadent New York Style Cheesecake. This classic dessert boasted a luxuriously smooth and creamy texture that melted in the mouth. Each slice sat elegantly on the plate, adorned with a generous dollop of velvety whipped cream, enhancing its rich flavour. The combination of the cheesecake's subtle tang and the sweet, light whipped cream created a harmonious balance that left everyone savouring each bite.


Every Wolfgang's Steakhouse branch worldwide uses the same recipes, ensuring a uniform culinary experience no matter where guests go. “Our goal is to ensure that our food maintains a consistent flavour profile no matter where it’s enjoyed. We deliberately choose not to modify our recipes to suit local tastes, as we’re committed to preserving our brand identity. However, we do create a select few dishes and sauces that cater to local palates,” explained Zwiener.


Wolfgang's Steakhouse Bangkok seamlessly combines classic and contemporary elements, offering a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor area featuring a whiskey bar and a curated wine collection of over 2,000 bottles from renowned regions such as Napa Valley, South America, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. With open-air seating, diners can savour their meals while taking in the breathtaking night views of Bangkok.
