THAIFEX—Anuga Asia 2024, one of the largest food and beverage trade shows, which ran from 28 May to 1 June 2024, was a testament to the richness and diversity of the food and beverage industry. It showcased 11 trade shows and 3,133 exhibitors representing 52 countries. The event drew an impressive 85,850 visitors from 131 countries, all of whom could immerse themselves in a wide range of activities. These included 28 talks and panel sessions conducted by 33 speakers, along with 13 startup pitches, offering something for everyone in the industry.

The Top Ten Trends for 2024 are as follows:


1. Ingredients: Taking the Spotlight - Promote a product's star element to align with positive consumer attitudes towards key ingredients.

In supporting the Plant-Based: Rise of Applied Offerings, THAIFEX—Anuga Asia successfully hosted the inaugural Alternative Protein Flavour and Taste Contest. During the competition, trade visitors sampled and voted for the best alternative protein products as part of the Future Food Experience+ programme. Entries were evaluated based on taste, texture, aroma, and innovation. Here are the winners of each category:

The winner of the taste category was CPF Global Food Solution Public Company Limited for their Thai Green Curry Gyoza. These plant-based dumplings combine the traditional flavours of Thai green curry with the delicate texture of gyoza, offering a delightful taste experience.

The winner of the texture category was HA LI FA PTE LTD for its EPL Mushroom and vegetable Balls. These products are crafted to provide a perfect balance of texture and flavour. Made from high-quality ingredients, they offer a satisfying bite and are versatile additions to various dishes.

The winner of the Aroma and Innovation category was MORNING ARCH SDN. BHD. for their Hello M'arch Quinoa Noodle Meal Kit (Assorted Flavors). The meal kit features non-fried noodles made from high-protein wheat flour and organic quinoa. Each kit contains fresh ingredients and vibrant spices, delivering an aromatic and flavorful experience. These meal kits are designed to be healthy and convenient, made without added MSG, artificial colouring, or preservatives.
