Supawit Muttaratana aka. Palm, one of Thailand's finest bartenders, rediscovered his passion for being behind bars after working with leading food and beverage groups such as Foodie Collection and Watermelon Group. He has opened his own bar, Dry/Wave Cocktail Studio, in Thonglor, neighbouring Homeland and Must Wine Bar.

This is not the first bar he has founded. A multi-time Asia's 50 Best Bars listed, Backstage Cocktail Bar was the first bar he founded along with several top bartenders, including Bacardy Legacy World Champion 2019 Ronnaporn Kanivichaporn, Chennarong Bhumichitr, Kitibordee Chortubtim, Watcharapong Suriyaphan and Anakin Wongsala. Unfortunately, Backstage Cocktail Bar didn't survive the pandemic and announced its departure from the cocktail world on 30th November 2021.

The new libation spot in Bangkok, Dry/Wave Cocktail Studio, is a project Palm created with his wife, Niwarin and his bartender friends, Anakin Wonsala and Nattawut Jeerasatienkul. With Palm's expertise in cocktail making and bar management, this place is sure to be a sanctuary for many drinkers. The bar features a warm-toned colour scheme and sand-textured curved walls with a wave print. This design creates a sense of both movement and stillness, allowing patrons to enjoy their drinks at their own pace and immerse themselves in the wave of music and cocktails.

Palm explaining about Dry/Wave menu

Dry/Wave Cocktail Studio is a fantastic place to experience the art of mixology. Palm creates these innovative and unique cocktails by combining two classic cocktails into what he calls "Super Classics". The menu is designed to be easy for the guests to understand in no time, using waves to symbolise drink styles and positioning signature drinks and their parents on the menu.

Love Birds in Venice

Love Birds in Venice is a love child of Bellini and Paloma. The drink is expertly crafted with a perfect blend of tequila, peach, grapefruit, agave syrup, and prosecco. The juicy sweetness of peach and tangy tartness of grapefruit offer the drink a burst of fruity aromas and flavours. The tequila adds a bold kick that beautifully complements the sweetness of the fruits. Finally, the drink is topped off with prosecco, which provides a tingly and refreshing finish with its delicate bubbles.

Casoni Martinit

A result of Negroni and Espresso Martini's union, Casoni Martini is a complex cocktail that blends the bitter notes of Campari with the rich, roasted flavour of espresso. Blended vermouth adds a touch of sweetness and dryness, while vodka provides a smooth, clean taste. The addition of balsamic and wild honey adds a unique twist, creating a drink that is both sweet and tangy. Finally, a blend of herbs adds a subtle, earthy flavour that perfectly complements the other ingredients.

New Orleans to Alabama, a descendent of Sazerac and Alabama Slammer, a perfect blend of VSOP cognac, apricot brandy, dry vermouth, orange and grenadine cordial, Peychaud's bitters, and absinthe. With its rich and fruity aroma, this concoction is a true delight for the senses. The smooth and velvety texture of the cognac is perfectly complemented by the sweet and tangy notes of the apricot brandy, while the dry vermouth adds a subtle hint of bitterness. The orange and grenadine cordial give the cocktail a refreshing citrusy kick, and the Peychaud's bitters and absinthe add a unique depth of flavour and complexity to the mix.
