After the pandemic caused it to disappear from Bangkok's bar map, Find The Photo Booth, the sister bar of the renowned bar Find The Locker Room - which used to be located behind the defunct Score Bar's photo booth on Sukhumvit 11 - is now back. The new location is on Bantathong Road, within an estate called The Sphere. This estate is a hub for the food, beverage and party establishments.
The new Find The Photo Booth is no longer hidden behind any establishment. Instead, guests and patrons must locate the entrance to the bar, which is hidden behind one of the photo booths. However, it's important to note that finding the correct location doesn't guarantee immediate access. They must also find a way to open the door to enter the bar.
Once guests enter the bar, they will be welcomed by the staff and the warm, cosy, yet opulent decor, which offers an intimate and chic vibe, contrasting the calm, green tone of the bar's façade.
The lighting here is quite interesting. Some lamps create light with a Martini glass shape, giving the bar a unique visual and aesthetic.
With the new opening comes a new menu. While keeping some aspects of the old bar's concept, the team has added new elements to create a memorable and contemporary menu concept.
The menu concept remains faithful to the classics and their unique Thai-influenced twists. However, these twists are named after musical keys. For instance, a zesty sour drink like Aviation, which has the code name A Major, has a variation called A Flat. This twist is a fruity sweet and sour drink.
The Boulevardier, a classic cocktail that belongs to the Negroni family, is a strong spirit-forward drink that combines bourbon, sweet vermouth, and Campari. However, there is a variation of this cocktail called B Flat, which is bubbly and has a distinctive aroma.
The sweet and sour drink with raspberry forward Clover Club or C Major at Find The Photo Booth has a variation called C Sharp. The C Sharp is a spirit-forward drink with a hint of raspberry.
A rare classic cocktail, Salty Dog, can be found at Find The Photo Booth. Those who haven't tried this cocktail need to try it. The grapefruity cocktail is refreshing, with a balance between sweetness and saltiness. Its twist is D Sharp, a spirit-forward drink with a hint of strawberry and grapefruit. The deep-fired nori gives a nice umami and seaweed character to the drink. It's a complex drink but approachable.
The bar has a live band to play in the middle of the bar, where drinkers from every corner of the bar can see the band.
