A new record in Asia's 50 Best Bars has been made! Coa achieved a remarkable accomplishment by becoming the first bar to be awarded the coveted No. 1 position three times in a role. From the moment Coa won the Highest New Entry Award in 2019 and its owner-bartender, Jay Khan, won the Bartenders' Bartender Award in 2020, it was clear that this bar had something truly unique to offer.
Coa is a bar that takes its name from the tool used for harvesting agave, the plant used to make both mezcal and tequila. The establishment pays tribute to both spirits and boasts the most extensive collection of agave in the city, with 200 bottles available. Khan, the owner, has personally visited every distillery, allowing customers to learn about the history behind their drink as they sip it.
Asia's 50 Best Bars 2020 and Singaporean OG cocktail bar Jigger & Pony has been named the Destination Award: Best Bar in Singapore for the fourth consecutive year, ranking second on the list.
BKK Social Club, a luxurious bar in Bangkok, has earned the third spot on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2023 thanks to the leadership of Philip Bischoff and his hardworking team. The bar also received Destination Award: Best Bar in Bangkok for the second time in a role. The award was sponsored by Tia Maria.
Bar Benfiddich in Tokyo, led by Asia's 50 Best Bars Individual Awards for Roku Industry Icon Award 2023 winner Hiroyasu Kayama, secured the fourth spot on the list and also received Destination Award: Best Bar in Tokyo for the second time in a role as well. This year's Highest Climber Zest, a Korean bar with a strong focus on sustainability, led by Demie Kim along with Sean Woo, Jisu Park, and Noah Kwon, was ranked fifth on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2023 from forty-eighth and won Destination Award: Best Bar in Seoul, sponsored by Nikka Whisky.

Mahaniyom Cocktail Bar in Bangkok has recently been recognised as Best New Opening by London Essence and has secured a spot at No.22 on the list. This trendy establishment, led by Ronnaporn Kanivichaporn, offers a unique cocktail menu that showcases the full potential of every ingredient used in their drinks.
The Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award was won by No.15 Analogue, a bar located in Singapore. This award is well-deserved for the three-year-old establishment that prioritises sustainability in every aspect of its operations. From a bar counter made from recycled plastic bottles to coasters and tabletops upcycled from materials and menus featuring low-impact ingredients and base spirits with reduced carbon footprints, Analogue leads the way in sustainable practices.
Virtù has made its first appearance on the list at No.20 and has been awarded the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award. The cocktail and cognac lounge located at the Four Seasons Otemachi has impressed cocktail enthusiasts with a unique cocktail menu that combines French aperitifs and liqueurs with Japanese shochu and whisky.
The Cocktail Club in Jakarta has won the Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award. Their menu offers a wide variety of creative twists on classic cocktails and prominently features local ingredients such as fermented cempedak, curry leaves, and red rice, among others. Established by experienced bartenders Jay Gray, Desiree Jane, and Abhishek C George in 2019, this bar was built with a clear mission: to provide exceptional drinks and personalised service in a luxurious yet laid-back atmosphere. Women-led The Pontiac owner Beckaly Franks, born in Hawaii to bar-owning parents, is an ambitious and eccentric hospitality expert. With a passion for community support and defence, she's made a name for herself in bar scenes across the US and Hong Kong. She received the well-deserved Altos Bartenders' Bartender Award.
